Client Testimonials
The San Fernando Valley Bar Association is a premier organization with over 2300 attorney members. The Bar Association, founded in 1926, is proud of its service to its members and surrounding community. The SFVBA as a service to its members, offers continuing legal education in various practice areas.
The Women Lawyers Section is an active group within the Bar. Connie Gregory recently appeared before the group to give a seminar on “How Appearance Affects Discrimination Towards Women Lawyers.” She had presented a similar seminar a year before and the group by popular demand requested that she return. Her presentation was again, one of best we have offered. She not only brings popular culture into play but science, psychology and the legal system! It was educational, entertaining and illuminating.
The group was so enthused, they’ve already requested a repeat performance. Her knowledge is impressive and her presentation skills top notch. She is an expert in her field and extremely accessible, all in all, an A+ presenter.

As a child of the 60's (tie-dye and clogs) I was never known for my style of dressing before I met Connie. Connie and I began shopping together several years ago and I noticed every time I received a compliment it was on an outfit that Connie had picked out. After my color analysis, when corresponding colors were added to my wardrobe, I not only received ‘a compliment’ - I received compliments from everyone I encountered, including strangers.
I am not a fussy person and was a little suspicious this would complicate my life, but using the color palette has made shopping quicker, easier and FUN. Who knew?? Connie has a true gift for this!

I really enjoyed seeing how the shades of color truly make a difference. When I peruse clothing catalogs, I am much more aware of the colors I would and would not choose. I pay more attention to what colors will enhance my skin tone, and I make better choices. I actually took the color palette Connie gave me and held it up against the contents of my closet and drawers. I have lots of the ‘good’ colors, and surprisingly few of the ‘bad’ colors!
I think having a base color palette is fabulous!

I think it's safe to say that I have embraced my "new" color scheme! I love having the color swatches, and I keep them in my purse at all times.
My shopping habits have changed tremendously since the advent of the "new" colors! I no longer waste time looking at items that are not part of my Autumn palette, and I find that my eye naturally zeros in on colors that are appropriate for me. I know it's working, because I'm getting compliments right and left on my clothing. I also find that I am much less hesitant to ask for assistance when I'm shopping, because I know what I'm looking for, and I figure that a good sales clerk will know where to find it!
Mentally I believe I've gotten quite a boost from going through this whole process as well. I also know that if it's "one of those days" and I don't have time to do the whole hair-and-makeup thing, at least if I'm wearing a flattering color and put on a good lipstick (and a little bit of attitude) I can fake my way through the day and no one is the wiser. Wearing the right colors can still make me look human even on the worst of days!

About our shopping excursion. I tried on a lot of clothes, and it was so much fun. The best part is I feel really great about what we bought. Your help was invaluable. I would have spent many more hours, not found nearly so many things, and I would not have been as happy with the way they look, fit and coordinate. It was like a wonderful Christmas for me, and it is so great to know I have great things to wear.

Connie, we so much enjoyed your presentation! You were lively, informative, and engaging. We have all been looking at our own (and each others’s) colors since we last met! Thank you on behalf of SPB Women’s Fellowship.
